Character Worksheet
This worksheet helps you flesh out your character to a simple-but-playable level. We're all going to complete this together, but feel free to start thinking now. Be forewarned: I am going to use "your" and "your character" interchangeably.
History
- Race - What is your character's race/subrace?
- Class - What is your character's class? How did he learn this?
- Religion - What gods do you pray to? Why?
- Society - Where did you grow up? Was your race dominant there? What caste were you? How did that influence you? Why did you leave home?
- Family - Are you married or single? Do you have any children? Who were your parents? What did they do? Do you have siblings?
- Friends - What kind of friends did you have? Do you remain close? Where are they now?
Personal Info
- Occupation - Within your society, what role did you fill?
- Physical Description - What makes you stand out, even among your own people? What is your manner of dress?
- Attributes and Skills - What are you especially good at? This will look a lot like your trained skills, but do you do anything else well?
- Values and Motivations - Why did you become an adventurer? For which causes will you take up arms? What values are important to you in areas other than combat?
- Behavior - How do you act around others? How do you treat women? Children? Do you have any important biases (racism, etc.)?
- Useful Knowledge - Certainly you're not just an arm and a sword! What do you know that most others do not? How did you come by this information?
Anecdotes / Miscellany
- Wine - What is your favorite food? What is your favorite drink?
- Women - What are your sexual preferences? Are you only attracted to your own race, or others?
- Song - What is your favorite musical instrument? What other forms of entertainment do you like?
- Mannerisms - Do you have any quirks which make you stand out? These don't have to be about social interaction, but they can be. Perhaps you sleep a lot, "cross" yourself in prayer before battle, or use vibrant hand gestures when speaking?
