Laenaya Whispersong is an elven thief from the forest of Cormanthor. She has short blonde hair and dresses without restricting her mobility, revealing an abdominal scar. Though she spent most of her life killing drow and raiding tombs with her elven brethren, with the reclamation of Myth Drannor by their eladrin cousins, she and her companions became a dying breed. She is nimble and quick on her feet, and her race grants her an atypical understanding of time; Laenaya's demeanor is that of a sudden storm, possessing an immortal's patience and an arrogant sense of urgency that catches even humans off-guard. In addition to her abilities as a thief, she's also kept an (elongated) ear to the ground, and knows more of Eveningstar's truths than one would find in the Cormyr Clarion. Laenaya is memorable as a flirtatious pickpocket who is always two steps ahead of even the most clever player characters.
After she was freed from Reardon Cormaeril's dungeon by the Ebon League, she quickly fell back into her old ways (three days in prison didn't teach a girl expecting to live to be 400 anything!) and began scheming to claim Leslie Cormaeril's. Laenaya probably plans to enlist Tarak in this nefarious scheme.
