AdiOS is a droid factory facilities management AI programmed by members of the CIS at the end of the Clone Wars. Due to a technical error, it continued to construct droids even after running out of raw materials by circumventing its safety protocols, likely because a developer just never remembered to actually call that method. Kif Momo and the crew of the Cantina Turner managed to hot swap some of AdiOS's systems and reboot it, and it seems to have come back online without any murderous intent… but like editing a server's Web.config, LGTM probably doesn't give the full picture, and the adverse effects of that action are yet to be seen.

Behind the scenes
AdiOS is inspired by GladOS from Portal, Skynet from Terminator, HAL 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey, and countless others. The name is also inspired by GladOS, chosen because "adios" is obviously Spanish for "goodbye" (as in "Adios, I'm going to murder you now") and "Adi" is short for "Adolf" (as in "Auf Wiedersehen, I'm going to murder you now").
I briefly considered some Age of Ultron-y storyline where AdiOS builds itself a droid body that looks suspiciously like naked Arnold Schwarzenegger, which is why the physical core even now is described as a "cocoon". Then I considered more of a Jarvis becomes Vision story where AdiOS became the navigational computer on the Cantina Turner and then builds itself a physical body sometime after that (again, Arnold Schwarzenegger, ass-naked) but that got scrapped, too.
AdiOS was intentionally designed to be genderless and uses they/them pronouns, mostly for Brad, who was absent that session. C'est la vie.
