Description
//TODO: This is where I'll describe the schematic, I guess. I'll get to it when I'm feeling more mechanical and less creative.
History
The SoroSuub Luxury Yacht 3000 originally commissioned as the "Proud Mary" and gifted to Tegan Bosbe on his sixteenth birthday and stolen by the Noble Pirate Nexu is today operated under the name "Cantina Turner". The ship's new identification is obviously forged, so while it can dock publicly and pass a cursory inspection at a standard checkpoint, prolonged Imperial attention probably isn't a great idea.
The Cantina Turner owes her notoriety to the Imperial Blockade of Pantano, during which her crew destabilized the Imperial occupation and ultimately led to its collapse at the Battle of Pantano, though their role, tactics, and motives remain hotly debated.
Features
Weapons
- Port Quad Laser Cannon: Range Close, Damage 5, Critical 3. Accurate, Linked 3.
- Starboard Quad Laser Cannon. Range Close, Damage 5, Critical 3. Accurate, Linked 3.
Modifications
The SoroSuub Luxury Yacht 3000 has four hard points (HP) to make modifications.
- Smuggling Compartment. (1 HP) w/ two Mods. Conceal 75 Encumbrance of its allowable 100.
- High-Output Ion Turbine (1 HP): Speed +1 (to 4), System Strain -1 (to 11).
- Decoy Buoy (0 HP): Appears to sensors as a ship w/o Hard (♦♦♦) Computers. Mods: Add two Setback dice ■■.
- The Birthday Button (0 HP): Opens the top deck and starts a light show. If traveling at Speed 2 or higher (or in space), it also empties the pool and jettisons the pool furniture (and anyone near the pool).
Crew
The crew of the Cantina Turner is attended by five NPC droids, one from each class (science, engineering, protocol, battle, labor). They perform background tasks that aren't interesting enough for screen time, or can take over for a fallen Player Character in the event that shit goes sideways. It's up to us to give them some personality.
- Medical Droid, K59-1. Since it's a pleasure boat, maybe he's light on the morality and heavy on the morphine?
- Astromech Droid, BB-W. A curvy (well, one continuous curve) droid with a feisty personality.
- Protocol Droid, C-R33. I'm thinking maybe a personal attendant?
- Security Droid, SW-AZ. Three words: ocular. pat. downs.
- Labor Droid A455. They/them. It's a non-binary load lifter, get it?
Notable Cargo
- A stockpile of Stormtrooper armor, Imperial uniforms, and blasters, plus enough fake mustaches to make it all work.
- Cherry XJ-6 and XJ-2 airspeeders driven right out of the garage of Pantano's ranking Imperial officer.
- One Spec Ops 74-Z speeder bike, two older civilian speeder bikes, and a workhorse of a Bantha-II cargo skiff.
- Difficult-to-fence objet d'art and easily-identifiable personal effects making the crew cash-poor and asset-rich.
