Pon Shal is a Nautolan gunslinger who fell out of favor with the Hutt crime syndicate and is now wanted by both the Empire and the Hutts.
History
Recent developments
After a non-specific falling out that soured at least one of the Hutts on Pon Shal, he fled to Pantano to disappear, at least for a while, but a Mon Calamari bounty hunter named Morn tracked him there. Pon and his hired guns rebuffed the bounty hunter, but it's clear that it's only a matter of time before Morn or another Hutt lapdog comes to collect.

Behind the scenes
Nautolans have Jamaican accents (legit it's because of the dreadlocks), so I named Pon Shal after Jamaican dancehall recording artist Sean Paul, whose chart-topping single and earworm "Temperature" dominated every college party playlist in 2006. I briefly considered a Bob Marley reference, but if you're cool enough that the CIA had you secretly killed, you probably deserve better than what could easily become a throwaway NPC.
