Character Sheet

Warbeard1 Thorin Ironhand is a shield dwarf warlord from Citadel Adbar. Thorin is major of the Iron Guard, leading the armies of the Ironhand Clan and was previously a captain of the Argent Legion. Thorin is highly-decorated and is a skilled strategist, and he is generally terse and reserved in social situations, making him an ideal emissary to the tall races.

Thorin lived his entire life in Citadel Adbar until King Harbromm asked him to serve in the army of the Silver Marches just a few years ago. Thorin, like many other dwarves of Adbar (Citadel Adbar has the largest army in the Silver Marches and also contributes the largest force to the Argent Legion's muster), left behind his family and clan in the name of duty. In the short time he served in the Argent Legion, Thorin tempered a group of boys into men, earning more regimental citations2 than any other in the legion.

When Thorin's tour with the legion had ended, he elected to return home to Citadel Adbar, where he was promoted to major. Many of the dwarves (including some from Citadel Felbarr or other places) who fought with Thorin in the Argent Legion enlisted in the army of Adbar to serve in his regiment (most of the humans who served with Thorin elected for military careers in the legion, accepting promotions).

When the Silver Company was preparing to face the orc Ugreth and called out to Citadel Adbar for aid, King Harbromm uncharacteristically elected to send aid—a single company from Thorin's regiment—to Deadsnows. Thorin requested to lead the expedition personally and Harbromm granted his request. Thorin and his men were instrumental in defending the town of Deadsnows from a troll outcast and his ogre guerrillas and orc mercenaries.
