Urda Malo is the proprietress and master pastry chef of the Eveningstar Bakery in Eveningstar. She is tall and slender, with a wrinkled face and wiry hair tied back in a bun. Her voice is high (some would say shrill), but she is warm and friendly to everyone. Urda loves children, so she's always pleased to see the orphans of the House of the Morning, who stop in frequently for the biscotti "ends," with which she freely parts. While studying at the Royal Culinary Academy in Suzail she developed a taste for designer coffees, which she had intended to bring back to Eveningstar with her; unfortunately, coffee beans are difficult to find so far inland and she's struggling to find a supplier in Suzail or Marsember who can keep meet her demand for java.
